FAQ

Q How often should you have your carpets cleaned?
A Ideally for most people every 6-9 months. The less carpet you have the quicker it’s going to get dirty. If you have dogs you will need it more often than if you don’t. Carpet wears fast when it’s dirty. Most people would be much better off focusing on the traffic areas and not the stains for judging when to have it done.

Q Do you do trailer homes.
A Yes

Q How do you get pet stains out without chemicals?
A They get a pre spray of citrus solvent. The ultra hot water only steam temporarily expands the pores in the fiber and they come right out very effectively.

Q How long does it take to dry?
A the biggest factors effecting dry time are how dirty it is and how well it was vacuumed before it was cleaned. The more time I spend on it the more it’s going to absorb and if it’s not vacuumed well the pre mist of citrus based solvent will end up being absorbed by the dust and hair and not be as effective, possibly requiring it to be reapplied and gone over again doubling the clean time and the amount of humidity added to the air. You will get a much better dry time if your carpet is very well vacuumed. It also saves a lot time, effort, citrus solvent and fuel.

Q Can you get out pet stains and odors?
A Pet stains come right out about 99% of the time. It is possible they could be set if you spot cleaned it. If the odor is just in the pile of the carpet, it gets removed with cleaning. If the odor is also in the backing pad and subfloor it will be improved but still a problem. The bigger the pet and the thinner the carpet the more of a problem it’s likely to be. Most of the time it’s not a problem but once in awhile it is. It’s important to note that pee stains need to dry for 5 days before you have them cleaned or if some of it is in the pad it wick right back up as it dries. Moisture in the pad takes a long time to dry.

Q Do you move furniture?
A No I don't move furniture, no furniture moving while I'm there. Usually the only thing under furniture is dust. If your tromping all over wet carpet you aren't going to get good results. The first thing I do is put down a mist of citrus based solvent on all areas being clean nothing can be moved around until it’s completely dry or there will like permanent varnish stains and possibly mold.

Q Do I get to choose where you start?
A NO! The pre mist goes down first on everything being cleaned. I start from the furthest point I clean it in the most efficient manner possible. The whole thing needs to be ready to go before I start.

Q Is it a flat fee or are there taxes as well?
A No taxes on labor here in Arizona.

Q Do you do carpet repair?
A  No, for carpet stretching and repair I recommend Clint Arizonas Best at 602-384-4494

Q Do you do work yourself or how do you vet your workers?
A I do it all myself. My son has worked with me summers and weekends  since he was 15 but now he only helps out on huge commercial jobs.

Q Do you clean Townhouses.
A Yes.

Q Do you clean apartments?
A No

Q Do you clean Condos?
A I don’t clean apartment style condo but I do clean modern style ones that have attached garages and their own nearby outside water spigots.

Q Do you clean cars?
A Once in a while if I’m there doing something else. I won’t come out to just do a car. Carpet in cars can be a drying nightmare. I’m really not ideally set up for that.
